SANTA
JAM 11
Seasons Greetings!
SANTA JAM is an annual charity event
to raise money for Northern Virginia shelters for homeless women
& children and victims of domestic violence.
Thanks to the generosity of local musicians, the event
brings people from all over the area together for an evening of
great entertainment to benefit local shelters. Santa Jam’s
wildly popular “Your Choice Charity Raffle”
allows a winner to CHOOSE from available prizes in order of tickets
drawn. Thanks to friends and local businesses who have donated products
and services over the years, these raffles have raised thousands
of dollars for Doorways for Women and Families.
Would you lend your
support to this year’s charity raffle by
donating a gift of products or services?
Doorways will receive 100% of our
charity raffle proceeds again this year. They have an ambitious
mission and it really is amazing how hard they work to be sure the
people that need them stay well and have safe places to call ‘home’
temporarily.

THANK YOU!
Thank you to all who attended and
volunteered for Santa Jam 11 last Thursday! Although we had fewer
people in attendance this year, we still managed to raise just over
$10,000 with the help of Gwen & Steve Guion's raffle organization.
Also, close to 20 huge bags of toys were promptly delivered to the
shelters the next morning. And a big thank you to the musicians
traveling from all over to lend their talents to the cause, to those
of you who went out of your way to find gift certificates to raffle
off, to Santa's helpers tirelessly selling raffle tickets that night,
to those who helped out backstage creating a very welcoming environment
for the musicians, to those who photographed the event, and to those
who put the word out on air and in print.
Please know that you have all contributed greatly
in making this holiday season much brighter for those families less
fortunate than us.
Also, I would love to hear any thoughts or suggestions of how to
make Santa Jam that much better since we're always looking for ways
to improve.
Once again, thank you so much!!!Merry Christmas, Happy
Chanukah, and Happy Holidays!!!
